We are dedicated to strengthening Hawaii’s transportation workforce by providing accessible commercial driver education, safety training, and scholarship support that honors both professional excellence and local values.
Founded to address workforce shortages, roadway safety concerns, and financial barriers to training, Hawaii T.I.D.E.S. serves individuals across the State of Hawaii by creating pathways to stable, safety-centered careers while prioritizing the well-being of our communities.

Hawaii T.I.D.E.S. serves Hawaii residents seeking safe, stable careers in commercial driving, including veterans, career-changers, underemployed adults, and individuals facing financial or access barriers to training. Our programs prioritize individuals committed to safety, responsibility, and service to their communities.
Our Purpose
Transportation in Hawaii is more than movement—it is connection. Our roads support families, food systems, emergency services, and local businesses. Hawaii T.I.D.E.S. exists to ensure that those entrusted with operating commercial vehicles are trained with skill, integrity, and respect for the people and places they serve.
Through education, safety instruction, and scholarship support, Hawaii T.I.D.E.S. removes barriers to CDL certification while cultivating a workforce grounded in responsibility, awareness, and service.

Our Mission
The mission of Hawaii T.I.D.E.S. is to increase the number of qualified, safety-trained commercial drivers in the State of Hawaii by providing structured access to CDL preparation, workforce readiness support, and transportation safety education for underserved and economically disadvantaged populations.
